Children & Youth page
All people of all ages are important parts of our church community, and we place an emphasis on raising our children up in the Christian faith. You will see this practiced in a few ways at PGCRC….
We provide childcare during the worship service. Please ask our greeters for directions.
We encourage our children to be a part of the worship service. We invite all the young children forward for a short children’s message to make sure they have a place in the service just for them, and then we dismiss preschool-Grade 6 children for Sunday School for the remainder of the service. Our Sunday School program runs from September through June. During the summer months the children remain in the worship service in the sanctuary.
On Tuesday evenings the Grade 7-9s meet from 6:20-7:20pm, and the Grade 10-12s meet from 7:30-8:30pm with Pastor Andrew for catechism classes. “Catechism” is a latin word meaning “teaching” or “instruction.” We focus on forming our faith as maturing Christians by building community with each other, learning how the read the Bible, and encouraging each other in our own walks with God.
PGCRC practices Safe Church policies for abuse prevention and response.
